Anastasia Contour Kit

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit
After all the hype about this palette I got it. I wasn't really interested in this palette until recently when I really started getting into contouring and highlighting. I find this palette to be absolutely perfect! I love how it comes with three different bronzer colours as well as three different highlight colours. I also find it great how small the palette is. The banana powder is perfect for under the eyes and there is a matte highlight and a shimmery highlight. I have been using the middle bronzer colour for contouring as it is a more cooler brown. I do love this palette and I am so happy I finally have it in my hands. It is a bit on the pricey side so it definitely is a splurge. I feel as though lately I've just been a bit bronzer and highlight crazy trying to find new products to try out! I absolutely love Anastasia Beverly Hills products and this one, as usual, is not a disappointment.

November Beauty Favourites.

It's already December. I don't know where time has gone! I have been really busy lately so I've only been able to really love a couple of things in November. I'm excited for December as Christmas is coming around and also the 2015 is so close! As excited as I am, I'm also kind of nervous for the new year. Anyways, on with my favourites.

Batiste Dry Shampoo
I have tried a couple of dry shampoos in the past and I have absolutely hated them. I always felt like they just made my hair feel gritty rather than taking the oil away but this dry shampoo is AMAZING. It gives you volume and definitely takes away the oil from your scalp! After I use this, I feel like my hair looks as good as the day I washed it, maybe even better. I am so in love with this product and I'm glad I finally found my holy grail dry shampoo.

NARS Virtual Domination Cheek Palette
I told myself I wasn't going to buy this palette and that I didn't need it but when Sephora was having their VIB Rouge 20% off sale I was like why the hell not? I am so glad I bought this palette. This is a limited edition palette so if you do want it you should get it ASAP! There hasn't been a single day that I haven't used this on my makeup. I use the bronzer every single day. It's the perfect contour colour and I feel it gives the right amount of warmth to my face. The blushes are also very beautiful as well as that highlight colour. I have been loving this all throughout November!

CLINIQUE Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+
It's been really cold where I live and my moisturizer just wasn't giving me enough hydration. I used to use this Clique moisturizer until the summer when I felt like it was just making my face feel very oily. I've gone back to this in the month of November and since I have very dry skin in the fall/winter I feel like this is one of the best moisturizers I have used!

Tony Moly Crystal Lovely Eyes (#02 Gold Beam)
I love this product. This is the Tony Moly eye pencil. It comes with the pencil on one end and sort of a shadow-like product on the other end. I love using this for my inner corner highlight as well as putting this on my lower lash line for a more doll-like look. I have been using this almost everyday in November. This is such a beautiful light gold colour. I feel like it would suit almost anybody!

MAC Rebel
You know it's fall/winter time when you cannot stop gravitating towards dark lip colours. This has been my favourite lip colour throughout November. This is MAC's Rebel and I am so in love. The colour is such a beautiful plum colour and it isn't as dark on your lips when you put it on but it just gives that gorgeous fall/winter look!

Gerard Cosmetics

There has been so much hype about Gerard Cosmetics' lipsticks that I just had to buy some and try them out for myself. I bought only three lipsticks from them because these were the only colours that really caught my attention. I got the lipstick colours in All Dolled Up, Fire Engine and Cherry Cordial.

First of all, the packaging is gorgeous! It reminds me of the Mac lipsticks but with the all round gold coating. Packaging is definitely an A+. I love having these in my collection and just looking at the packaging makes me happy (sucker for nice packaging, I know, but who isn't?!).

The formula of these lipsticks are not my favourite. They kind of remind me of the Lime Crime lipsticks in the sense that they are hard to put on. They definitely don't glide on nicely like some of the other lipsticks that I have tried. The formula also is really drying on the lips. The colour does last quite a while and also stains my lips which is a huge plus for me!

Out of all of them my favourite is probably Fire Engine. It's such a nice red that has sort of a orange tint to it. Cherry Cordial is a great colour for the fall but All Dolled Up is a bit too barbie pink for me and I don't think it really suits me.

Overall, these lipsticks are quite nice and I would buy more if Gerard Cosmetics came out with more colours!

All Dolled Up
Fire Engine

October Beauty Favs

October is now gone and November is here... Where has time gone? Feel like just yesterday I was getting excited for Halloween!
Anyways, here are some things I have been loving in October.

Dolce&Gabanna 3 L'Imperatrice is my FAVOURITE perfume and I just got another one and I have been absolutely loving this all of October. It smells very sweet and girly. If you can get your hands on one of these I say get it! You won't regret it if you love girly perfumes!

NARS Blush in Desire is a blush I have been wearing all throughout October. I know the colour looks a bit intimidating but it gives you just the nicest natural pink flush on your cheeks. But beware it is very pigmented so a little goes a long way. You can never go wrong with a NARS blush!

Evian Facial Spray has been a lifesave this month. Since where I live is starting to get really cold, my face has been feeling so dry (not to mention I have dry skin from the beginning). But this has really helped my skin when I'm on the go to give some moisture. Plus it feels very refreshing on the face.

Becca Hightlighter in Moonstone gives you the nicest highlight. This is my first Becca product and so far I'm really impressed with it! This is the lighest colour and like the blush, this is very pigmented so make sure you only grab a little on your brush for that inner glow look!

Stila Waterproof Brow is very different as it is more like a ink pen rather than the usually brow pencils. I was really scared to use it at first but it gives you the look of having more hair on those sparse areas on your brow. I use this with my Anastasia Brow Wiz and it gives you a full natural looking brows! You must try it out!

L'oreal Miss Manga Mascara is better than any high end mascara, in my opinion. I love this mascara! It holds my curl, it gives me volume and length! I have been grabbing this everyday and I think this is going to be a holy grail product! The only downside is that this mascara dries out really fast but since it is quite affordable, it's no big deal.

Soap&Glory Sexy Motherpucker in Fuschia-Ristic has been my go-to lip colour for October. I love this product. It goes on smoothly and doesn't leave a sticky feel plus the colour lasts for quite some time! I am in love with this colour. It is a orangey tone but looks amazing on your lips!

Halloween Zombie Look

So, it's Halloween tomorrow! Finally! And I have been taking a makeup class for school and I came up with this look of a zombie who has a broken nose.
It's really quite simple to do and you don't need much.
To make the broken nose I got some Nose Scar Wax from Ben Nye and molded it on my nose. Then I got some purple shadow and used that around my nose. I also used the purple shadow as well as some red for the eyes to give a "dead" look.
For the scar on my face, I used gelatin and just mixed it and applied it leaving a slit in the middle. Then I just put some red cream inside of it.
For the neck, I used Karo syrup with tissue (you can also just use latex) and added some red, purple and blue shadows.
I also concealed my lips and put a white is highlight on my cheeks with no blush and heavy contour.
The blood I used is the Ben Nye dark blood and just put it on my lips, nose and neck.

And there you have it! A zombie look for halloween. Try it if you dare.

Products I used:
Ben Nye Nose Wax
Ben Nye Dark Blood
Ben Nye Bruise Wheel
Karo Syrup
Gelatine

Mini Haul.

These are just a couple of things I have bought in the past month. I've been buying these here and there and as you can see I have been starting to really love lipsticks.

I had been eyeing this palette for weeks before finally caving in and buying it. This is the Too Faced Everything Nice palette. I have never tried Too Faced shadows before and I was really surprised with the quality and the colour pay off. I also loved how this palette not only came with shadows but also a bronzer, highlight and two blushes. I own their chocolate soleil bronzer already but the one in this palette is darker than the one I own and I have been using it ever since I bought this palette. This palette also came with three brushes - a contour brush and two shadow brushes. I absolutely love it! I don't regret buying this product at all.

Now, I have been searching for the perfect primer for months now and I have heard so many good reviews about this one so I had to get it. I used to use the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer until I ran out then started using the Benefite Porefessional. Now... The Benefit primer, in my opinion, is whatever. This product is very similar to the Benefit one but I feel as though this does a much better job at hiding my pores.

Lashes, lashes, and more lashes. I am in absolute love with Velour's new design for breast cancer awareness! I ordered three lashes from them and honestly, of all the lashes I have tried, Velour's is the best. You definitely get the quality you pay for. I got the lashes in Whispie Me Away, Complete Me and Extra Oomph. I keep going back to these lashes.

Have you seen Nars' new lipstick packaging? Amazing? I know. It's so sleek with that all black package with the engrave of the NARS letters. Also, not to mention, these lipsticks are magnetic, very similar to their new eyeshadows. I love the consistency of these lipsticks. I got the colours Claudia and Fanny.

This is my absolute holy grail eyebrow product. I ran out so I had to repurchase this. I cannot live without this product! It is expensive but it is so worth your money if you want natural defined brows! I'm in the shade Soft Brown.

Another one of my holy grails. This is my third time repurchasing this. Nars never does me wrong, as a matter of fact, I think Nars is my favourite makeup brand! This concealer is creamy and stays on all day. I use it mostly for concealing blemishes and redness but it does work amazing under your eyes too! I definitely recommend this. I'm in the shade Medium Custard.

Another Nars lipstick. This is their old lipstick line as you can see by their packaging. Not a big fan of this packaging but this lipstick colour is PERFECT for fall time! The only problem I have with this is that the lipstick is very sheer so it doesn't give off a good colour payoff on your lips but the best thing about this is that the lipstick smells like fruit loops... Oh my gosh. This lipstick smells AMAZING. I just can't get over it.

Told you I was on a lipstick craze faze. This is my first time trying and Kat Von Di product and after hearing so many people rave about these lipstick, now I know why. It goes on so nicely and smoothly and has a matte-ish finish. And gosh, look at that packaging. I am such a sucker for packaging. The studded packaging steals my heart. I have the colour Backstage Bambi.

If anybody wants swatches of the lipsticks and stuff let me know!

Lush.

I once read in an article that shopping is a form of comfort. It provides us this comfort and this relaxation that we need once in a while to escape from reality. Shopping definitely has some therapeutic elements to it. After all, thats why they call it retail therapy, right? Something about Lush... From that moment you walk into it until the moment you walk out gives me this excitement. I hardly ever walk by Lush without going in for a cheeky little peak at all the glorious bath bombs they have.

I have seen so many blogs and videos of people in the UK who have already got their hands on the limited edition Halloween and Christmas Lush products. Sadly, the Christmas Lush products aren't coming into stores until next week (which I will have to pop back in Lush again :/).
Anyways, I didn't want to go fully crazy buying every single product in the store just yet (I'm waiting for the Christmas products) so I just bought a few things.

Firstly, I am just obsessed with their bubble bars and bath bombs. I got three today from their Halloween collection.
From left to right.
Lord of Misrule , Sparkly Pumpkin, Wizard
I think out of all, I am excited for the Sparkly Pumpkin. I mean, just look at it. It's covered in gorgeous glitter and not to mention, is in a pumpkin shape.

After looking at their bath bombs, I came across the Charity Pot. I thought it was really awesome how each pot of this lotion had a different charity on it. The smell of this is not particularly nice nor bad but the way it made my hand feel when I put it on just sold me.

The last thing I picked up was this D'Fluff shaving cream. I have heard about this product from different people. It is a shaving cream like no other. It turns into a milky type form and you just shave. The great thing about this is that you don't need a body wash after you shave as this acts as a two in one. The smell is a hint of strawberries and c'mon, who doesn't love the smell of strawberries?

Current favourites.

It's already October... Time seems to fly these days and soon it's going to be halloween, which is by far my favourite holiday. Then Christmas comes in second place. I have been buying a bunch of things and have been loving it!

Firstly, this foundation... I have heard so much about it online, through people and I always questioned myself as to whether or not this is all just a hype. I am very picky with foundation. I have a hard time trying to find the right colour and also I just feel like if I buy the wrong product, I'm going to have to deal with my ever so sensitive skin telling me that it's not okay. This foundation does live up to the hype. This is the Giorgio Armani luminous silk foundation. I am in the shade 3.5

My next favourite is the tangle teezer. I have the travel size one. Now I suffer with extremely damaged hair that seems to always be tangled. I have gone through so much hair dye in the past year or two from going blonde twice, to going back to brunette to going back to blonde, etc. Every time I get out of the shower this has saved my life. It makes your hair feel like tangles are no longer a problem.

Like I said, halloween is my favourite holiday and this hand soap... Oh gosh how exciting! I went into bath and body works and saw this and I had to get myself one. It smells like plum but the best part is how the colour is a blood red! I thought it was so fun and just unique to have in my bathroom.

This product is actually from Australia and it is probably the best type of ointment for your lips, scars, burns, etc. The smell isn't particularly nice but since I have been using this since I was little, I've gotten used to the smell. I mainly use this on my dry lips before I go to bed.

My last favourite is this record player I got as a gift. I have been wanting one for months and months and finally I got one in this beautiful light teal colour! The brand is from Crosley and they sell these at Urban Outfitters. It just fits perfectly with my apartment and the olden day type aura it gives off when playing records is soothing.

Skincare.

I struggle with sensitive skin and lately my skin has been going from dry to normal/combination. I usually like to try out new skin care products but out of all, Korean skin care products are by far my favourite. I have been using these products for about two months or so now and they have been working pretty well for me.

On an everyday base (not including those occasional masks and extra pamper products) I use my Banilla B Clean It Zero makeup remover to remove all my makeup. You scoop some of this product out onto your hand. At first this product is a balm-like texture. Then I melt this into my hands and start rubbing all over my face until every makeup has broken down into an oily form. Then I take some water and rub again which will then turn into a milky form. Then I just rinse it off.

After I remove all my makeup, I go in with a cleanser. This is a cleanser from Etude House I got back when I was visiting Korea a couple of months ago. I got a sample from then when I first shopped and had to go back for the full size. This cleanser has baking powder in it which helps your skin become renewed. The constancy is quite weird but in a good way. You can definitely feel the baking powder in the face wash. This face wash is pretty good and I'm sad to see it slowly run out.

Then after all my removing and cleaning of the face is done, I like to go in with my toners, lotions, etc.

For my toner, I use the Wonder Pore from Etude House. This was pretty new when I bought it and the product is pretty good. I feel like this product is doing a pretty good job of toning my skin. The only downside I have of this is that the smell is a bit strong of alcohol. It is supposed have 10 in one benefits to your skin such as removing dead cells, keeping your pores clean, etc. I think it does an okay job at what it says it does.

After I tone my face I go in with this Hanyul serum? To be honest, I have no idea what this product is supposed to do for my skin. I bought this in Korea at some beauty store and the lady told me that this was one of their best sellers. She told me to put in on after toner but before lotion, which is what I've been doing. To be completely honest, I don't see a huge difference in my skin but I keep using it because there is no point in removing it from my skincare. If anyone knows the details about this product please let me know!

And finally to seal my skincare routine I go in with my SK-ll Facial Lift Emulsion. This lotion is expensive, I'm not going to lie. But because I've heard so many amazing reviews on the entire SK-ll line, I decided to try it out. It is pretty good. It doesn't dry out my skin, and it doesn't make me an oil-face.

If anyone has any recommendations for me on skincare products, let me know!

Makeup Geek

I have been hearing and seeing Makeup Geek shadows everywhere online these days so I decided to buy myself some too. I bought my z palette from Amazon and the awesome thing about Makeup Geek's products are that they have magnets which will stay in your z palette. I bought 8 different shadows and two blushes. I mainly went for the more warm and neutral shades as I gravitate towards them. So far these shadows are very smooth and glide on so nicely that they almost feel velvet-like.

This is my Makeup Geek eye shadows in my z palette so far.

Here are some close ups of the shadows.

Left -> Right : Beaches & Cream , Shimma Shimma

Left -> Right : Moondust , Frappe

Left -> Right : Pretentious , Brown Sugar

Left -> Right : Burlesque , Last Dance

If you would like to see more in-depth information on each shadow and maybe some swatches make sure you let me know! Hoping to grow my collection bigger :).

Sephora, Mac and Ulta.

People may think I own too much makeup but to be honest, is there really such thing as "too much makeup"? No, I think not. Today I decided to go to Sephora, Mac and Ulta to buy the Benefit Gimme Brow but instead I came back with all these goodies. Sadly, the Nyx Butter Lipsticks were basically sold out at Ulta and the only shade I could get my hands on was in Fireball.

At Sephora I got the Naked 3 palette after much contemplation of wondering if it was really worth it or not along with some other goodies like the Too Faced Perfect Flush Blush in Something About Berry. I also got the NARS Creamy Concealer in the shade Custard along with a Beauty Blender and the BlenderCleaner.

At Ulta I got the Nyx Butter Lip glosses in the shades Peach Cobbler and Apple Strudel. And finally at Mac I bought my first ever Mac Lipstick from the Sheen Supreme line in the shade Ultra Darling.

Can't wait to try them out!
